I would just like to point out that I have not had an alcoholic drink since MONDAY EVENING, and since then I have had no fewer than SIX forays into places that sell alcohol and have resisted the temptation EVERY TIME. I had dinner with Anne tonight and told her that, and she was like "how do you feel?" and I said "shit! But I bet that if I didn't feel shit I'd feel really good."

Whereas, conversely, I've just gone out and drank loads of booze without eating dinner, even though I have to move house tomorrow, and I know I'll pay for it in the morning, and I feel great. Funny stuff, alcohol.

Woohoo! I'm on day 13, myself. Almost two weeks! AND I have the makings of a G&T (or five) in my fridge, but I'm not touching them. Go us!

I feel pretty run down, too, I expected to feel better. But that will come, I'm sure.

very impressive. Last yr for the first time ever (I'm so old i cant remember back that far...) I took a month off all drink. I spent the entire 30 days telling people how brilliant i felt... which I did... but really i just wanted to get back to how i felt before...

I was off the sauce till last night and then today I had a liitle glass of cider (OK 3 little glasses) and I feel GREAT but I just bought a pizza even though wheat makes me ill and cream cakes although I am fat enough already. And wine. And a Creature Comforts DVD. I am going to eat pizza and cream cakes and drink wine and laugh hysterically at the wee animals who sound like people.
